there is common joke that Blackberry devices cause high addiction, so it make sense to name them Crackberry - beware, you were warned ;)

in my case, I got device from ebay with german keyboard and it was easy to get used for keyboard, overall interface - it has just great usability

as european, I expected mobile phone functions work as well, but got caught a bit surprised - you can't use it as phone-in-hand-at-your-ear, only with handsfree and... I really hate to look like robot: walking down the street and mumbling something to nobody...

and without special Blackberry service it has really low value-for-money - you can not use neither browser nor email without being bounded to special Blackberry server at special application service provider premises.

also market of free software for it looks narrow due to special fee of 100 USD paid to RIM Inc. for right to develop apps for their product - seems they sniff corporate glue
