I am greatful to have surfed up to your beach. I don't know much yet, to build a supercharged 440ci plant. The information you provided about superchargers has helped me to eliminate what I don't want to use. The car I am starting ('64 440 wagon) was used to tow the Tritac and Morgan "War Wagon" which now lives in New Jersey. Can you suggest sources for info on lower end engine building so I know what to do with my engine before applying a root type supercharger? The goal is for 800 plus hp. and will be mostly street driven. Should I stroke it, type of pistons, heads, cam, crank, ignition??? How can I learn it, to make the choices? There are so many folks who claim to know but fall short on the finished product. I need to know so I can get the job done correctly. Thank You for any assistance offered.
Respectfully,
Frank in CT.

*blush* umm thanks :o) I just havent met a guy that treats me right yet...

Anyhow, supercharging DOES put a bigger load on your transmission. You can actually buy rebuild kits that help with the gearing and such. Most newer cars however can handle a supercharger with no major overhauls done (at low psi's of course).

Thanks again

Not only are you HOT in that picture, but you can do your own performance car work???
And you telling me you haven't gotten a dream wedding proposal yet? unbelievable.
One other thing aside from needing to know if your engine can handle the SC, can the tranny handle the sc?

What a fantastic review!!! I just thought I would let you know that...especially's since cars are supposed to be such a "man" thing. I liked the way you laid everything out in plain simple language. Very impressive to say the least although I am sure you already knew that!
