Musicals are a terrific genre, and I love many of them. Here are movies that are worth checking out for their musical interludes, or to introduce you to musicals.

Korova,

I definitely approve of your decision for what to do with this review, and you made great choices.

The song in Toy Story 2 made me cry. I discovered that I loved Bohemian Rhapsody only after its big screen appearance. I think there is also a song called Sodomy in the musical Hair--at any rate, there's a song about it in the stage version. And my sister played Tiny Dancer on the computer all day today.

...not seen all of these, but on those I have seen, I couldn't agree more. I especially appreciate the brilliance of 'Singing in the Rain' (and really all of the score, I have the soundtrack) in Clockwork Orange. Whenever I hear that song, I have a juxtaposed image in my mind of Gene Kelly swinging on a lampost and Malcolm McDowell beating people (not to mention the bathtub scene, with the crazed writer foaming at the mouth). A thought provoking editorial, very well written.
