That may be if you download the Moe Money thing - I haven't. I didn't download the Mypoints thing either. The site is great to use if you don't download it and just learn to check each store to see if it's listed before making a purchase.

are you aware that ebates installs spyware on your machine? (Reply to this comment)

Check out http://www.benedelman.org/news/121504-1.html for detailed info (including videos that prove ebates installs spyware through security holes)

And check out Microsoft's Anti-Spyware program, which identifies the program that ebates installs on your PC (often without your consent) as spyware:

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx

This is what Microsoft Anti-Spyware has to say about ebates:

eBates Moe MoneyMaker
======================
Type: Adware
Threat Level: Elevated
Author: Ebates Inc./TopMovx inc.

Description: Ebates MoneyMaker is an adware program that displays a number of popup adverts. Ebates MoneyMaker tries to disable programs that might interfere with its operation without your consent. This includes popup blockers.

Advice: This is a high risk threat and should be removed or quarantined as to prevent harm to your computer or your privacy.

About Adware: Adware is generally software that displays advertisements. Some advertisers may covertly install adware on your system and generate a stream of unsolicited advertisements that can clutter your desktop and affect your productivity. The advertisements may also contain pornographic or other material that you might find inappropriate. The extra processing required to track you or to display advertisements can tax your computer and hurt your system performance.

If you're still in doubt, just look at the ads that display on epinions under ebates. Other than the one for ebates.com itself, they are all spyware removal tools. Or do a search for ebates on google - 'nuf said.

I love it to. I wish more places would sign on, but it seems some of the bigger merchants like Overstock are bowing out of rebates (not that I'd buy from them anyway)

Thanks for the comment!

I have been using ebates for about three years now and I love shopping through them and receiving those checks.

I have a Upromise account too. I haven't done much shopping through them because I already deal with Ebates. I like having the cash in hand :-)

Thanks for the comment!

...but I tend to do all of my online shopping through Upromise, and I bet you can't use both. :(

Oh well, great review anyway!
