The signup process was simple enough. However, things fell apart from there. They're billing is done in monthly increments and it seems they lead you to believe that you get the first month free.... You DON'T!! It is only 28 days, and even thats deceiving!
BEWARE!!!
If you want to cancel your service within the free trial period, you must do so no later than the 26th day since your initial signup. Cancellation requests take 48 hours to be processed so you need to stay on top of it. Of course finding a customer service phone number is almost impossible on their website, so here it is: (888) 434-0055.
This is based on the experience I had where:
1) I signed up
2) Never received the "Welcome Kit" via USPS
3) Forgot all about it until the 27th day.
4) Submitted my cancellation on that day
5) Was still billed for a month's service
6) Then received a letter from them threatening to send my account to Collections
In all fairness however, I finally got this resolved after speaking with a helpful supervisor today... Almost FOUR months after it all began.
Moral of the story...? A company that is this unfriendly to its customers doesn't deserve my business. The post office now offers automated shipping machines in their lobbies, I'll stick with that.
