The Unforgetable DecadeJun 23 '01 Write an essay on this topic. The Bottom Line The best part of movies of the 80's are fashion, music, actors and my childhood. It's always great to catch one of these movies on a weekend afternoon. I was born in 1978, so I vaguely remember the details of the eighties (I was still in diapers!). The movies didn't make much sense to me, until about 87 - 89. Now that I am older, I can appreciate these fine films, and I have some of my favorites: 10) E.T. - I put this at number 10 because this was the very first movie that I had ever seen at a movie theater. I don't remember too much of it, but it was a childhood first. 9) Adventures in Babysitting 8) Sixteen Candles 7) Goonies 6) Back to the Future 5) Pretty in Pink 4) Ghost Busters 3) Dirty Dancing 2) The Breakfast Club 1) Ferris Bueller's Day Off - this was one of the best movies of the 80's. It was the perfect plan and it worked, I always wanted to ditch school, but I would've gotten caught. My best friend and I have this movie memorized word for word and laugh hysterically everytime we see it! I love it when I can catch these movies when there doesn't seems to be anything on TV. |
