I bought this D-Link switch/firewall because I didn't want to spend the extra 14.95/mo for an extra IP address and I still wouldn't have firewall protection or file sharing.

This little box did it all. It took about 5 minutes to set-up completely, and in about 10 I was able to share my internet connection with my wife's computer. A tip I would give to any one, especially beginners, is to read the instructions. Sounds like a gimmie, but it seriously made the installation that much quicker. It also helped me set-up my computers to be able to share files.

I have seen other products at work and watched my friend set those up and I was so happy mine was easier, and the D-Link ended up out performing the other brands.

Highly recommended and try buying it at buy.com or amazon.com it is well under $100.
