After great “honeymoon”, shipping delays crept in.

When we first joined Netflix, I would receive two-day turn around on movies (there is a distribution center in our city). Over time, however, there would consistently be delays in shipping. It reached the point where Netflix would not acknowledge receipt of DVDs for several extra days, and then add an extra day or two before shipping. The effect of this is Netflix only sends us about half of the DVDs now as when we originally joined.
Other than that, there are several good features to Netflix. Their web site has a nice user interface. Managing your DVD queue is easy. The search features are good, and many of the DVDs have on-line previews that are fun to watch. The selection is good, and availability has not been a problem. The return mail process is very simple, and the return envelopes are cleverly designed and easy to use.
Unfortunately, the shipping delays that appear to have kicked in after a honeymoon period overshadow the other benefits, and we have decided to cancel our subscription.
When canceling, we learned that there is no partial refund for unused days. Our credit card had been billed just two days prior to our cancellation, so we effectively lost almost a month's rental. The cancellation took place immediately, even though we'd paid for a full month just two days prior.
