Whether you are running a business or working on some special projects in your home, you need to take a look at what VistaPrint has to offer for custom printing.
Quick Networking Solution
I first came across VistaPrint about four years ago. I'd recently been laid off from a job and needed some quick business cards so that I'd have something to hand out to people while networking. Originally, I stopped at my local Staples and bought the sheets of paper that you can run through the DeskJet printer so that I could create business cards that way. The ink smudged, the perforated edges looked crummy and I looked for another solution. Enter VistaPrint. At the time, I took them up on their offer (which they still have today) for 250 free business cards. You work with templates they provide; give them the information you want through a form on their VistaPrint.com site; pay $4.99 for shipping; and wait for your cards. It was easy, affordable and professional looking. (Note - the freebies have the VistaPrint logo on the back. Pay a little more for the cards, and eliminate the logo.)
Quick Business Solution
Having headed up marketing and public relations for several Decorator's Show Houses, fundraisers for a not-for-profit that I am a member of, I've got a lot of information in my head that is of no use to anyone but me. Three years ago, I wanted to test out if I had a consulting business there for other not-for-profits that might want to do the same thing. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on focus groups, I just wanted to test out my idea. So, I bought a URL through Network Solutions and set up a 5-page website using their template. Then I went to VistaPrint.com and ordered business cards, mailing labels, and stationary so that I could do a quick direct mailing to 100 organizations that I had in a mailing list. For less than $100, I was in business and I looked professional. What's more, I even got a customer out of it.
Today's VistaPrint
I'm amazed by the range of products for home or business that is on today's VistaPrint.com site. For the home, you can order all sorts of gift tags, notecards that you can upload your own photos on to if you like or use the VistaPrint templates, invitations, and return address labels. If you haven't taken a look at the caricature line of products, you are missing out. For business, you can order folders (no more stickering folders from Staples to look like a real business, just custom print them), brochures, business cards, post cards, note cards -- all custom. My new favorite thing though is the magnets. They are great for keeping your name in front of people because they are different that what everyone else is doing to promote themselves. You can get as little as 10 calendar magnets customized with your information for as little as $12.99.
VistaPrint for You - You Bet
It's quick, easy and affordable to look professional when promoting yourself. And, you should also check out the other special on their site. I was amazed to learn that you can save $20 off incorporating your business at mycorporation.com. (Actually, I was amazed to learn that you could incorporate a business for $99 before the discount). There's also a link to a business called Corporate Casuals that will give you a free hat with your text on it. This is a business that will also print your text on a variety of clothing items. Bottom line - give VistaPrint a try. You can't afford not to.
