Do it just like you would a car, drain the gas and clean the air filter real good.
Then take out the spark plug and clean underneath. While the spark plug is still out, put a spoon full of oil in it, replace it, and turn the engine over a few times to get the oil all over the place (this is done to prevent erosion).
Cover it with a cloth sheet rather than plastic because you don't want to trap the moisture.
