| jillrashel's Full Review: 3M Lint Roller |
Living with cats and dogs can be tough on any wardrobe. Not to mention how awful you look. When I moved back home I was living with a Husky and had the great joy of being covered with white hair no matter where in the house I went. People would stop over for a minute and walk out with half of the dog on them.
That is when I started buying the 3M Lint Roller. It's pretty basic, a roll of sticky perforated paper on a black curved handle. Each sheet is about 3 inches high and 4 inches long. I renamed mine the Dog Hair Get'er Offer due to the fact I never had anything but white dog hair on me.
To use you simply roll it over your clothes and the lint, pet hair, dirt particles and other ugly debris sticks to the paper. Since it is white you can see everything it picks up. When the sheet is full and no longer sticky you just peel it off at the perforation to reveal a clean fresh sheet and throw the old in the trash.
I was using 3 or 4 sheets a day at about $3.50 each, I went to the local dollar store and bought a cheap $1 lint roller. Who knew there would be such a difference in quality. First, the handle was not as comfortable in your hand, Second, the paper was not nearly as sticky and quite difficult to peel. Definitely not a better bargain since I used twice as many sheets.
I keep one in my bedroom, one in my living room and one in my car. Since they aren't too big they fit any where and are quite handy to have around. When guests suddenly pop in I sweep it across the couch and chair so they don't get covered. I keep in the car cause it is great for getting my french fry salt off the seats.
To me the 3M Lint Roller is a product I cannot and will not live with out. I've tried the expensive lint machines and the cheap rollers but I seem to always come back to my 3M.
