I wish we would have shopped around more than we did when buying this vehicle. We had such good luck with our other Ford products, we wanted another. We like our Escape, but there are many things we also don't like. We bought the V6 Automatic. It came with PW, PL, CC, CD and most importantly, the hooks for the child seats to attach to. You would be surprised how many models do not! We wanted a 4 door for the arrival of a new baby. Loved the red! Over all it's a solid buy, we've not had to take it into the shop once for mechanical issues and we've owned it for over a year now. It gets decent gas mileage, about 20 mpg city. Interior is roomy both front and back.
What we don't like is the interior. The seats are not comfortable at all and are definitely not made for long trips in the car. Everything is plastic in the interior and looks cheap. I don't like the control for the dome light, it's on the light itself and not at the dimmer switch. The head rests are not very adjustable and are so far forward that a woman wearing her hair pulled up couldn't sit in the seat without leaning the entire seat back. Lots of wind noise on the freeways! I have to drive a freeway every day for work and I play the radio louder than usual to drown out the noise.
