Justin,
I am truly amazed, for two reasons. First, that you actually own that huge collection. Second, that you were willing to write this amazing (and unbelievably long) review about them. Thanks!

Wow. Mind if I come over and borrow some of those dvds? My collection pales in comparison. Actually, there's just some anime and South Park the movie. People give me these things, probably because they're on sale and its an impulse buy, I dunno. Well, if you host a movie marathon, count me in!
Great review!!!

I remember having done the same thing with CD's being an audiophile. I have concert's on DVD's in my collection and only ONE movie! I am sure you are curious to know which one. It's "Lawrence of Arabia" (collectors edition). Anyone having 118 DVD's ought to own this one for sure.
I will not pat you on the back for owning 118 DVD's but I sure will commend you for the effort you put in to write about it.

Believe it or not, I just recently purchased a DVD player, and man, I am totally addicted to it! I can spend literally hours and hours having fun while watching some of my favorite movies on DVD. And often, I would be wasting time checking out the extra features of some of my various DVDs.
A tremendous list my friend, I totally envy you. I have like maybe fifty movies on DVD (a relatively low list I hate to say) but I plan on purchasing dozens more with the paychecks I earned. But I also envy you with the fact that you get DVDs for free. I wish I was as lucky as you.
One DVD which you definitely need to get (this was not on your list) is John Carpenter's The Thing. It is one of Carpenter's best films (right up there with Halloween and Big Trouble in Little China) and it is loaded with good stuff.
Or for the truly daring, check out the DVD of Peter Jackson's Dead Alive.
Mangificent work, Justin.

Make sure you get the directors cut of Requiem, which is the normal cut, DONT GO WITH THE EDITED!
Anyways thanks for all the comments, I love comments and this is the most I have had in awhile =).
Those of you who took the time to read the whole list I commend you, those who just skimmed it, I still commend you ;)
have a nice day and by all means leave multiple and multiple comments!

what an insurmountable task!
I'd hate to review every cd in my collection. Luckily, I don't have too many dvds, so I could review one a week for... oh, a month maybe :)
Great (thorough) review (and then some)

you took on, and what a great job you did in breaking down every movie. I especially love the movies in Case One. I agreed with every one of them. And I just rented "Requiem For A Dream" to watch tonight! (They didn't have the unedited version... uh oh)
Really well done, and I was surprised - I thought I would be bored. Not.

You've got a ways to go to catch up to my collection, but nonetheless, it's always great to read about someone's enthusiasm for DVDs. Although I admit that I didn't read every description, I can add a note that a Usual Suspects Special Edition is in production - no release date yet though.

Quite a collection, and handy too - now I have a few more choices to add to my collection.
Btw: Do you have a syncing problem on your copy of Fight Club? I do, about 5-10 minutes worth toward the end.
Also, please pitch that huge picture, too much scrolling to see your newest stuff :)

Its good that there coming out with special editions of some of these neglected movies, but why dont they just make them special in the first place?
