When I called to make our reservation, I was given a rate of $479 per night. (Later found AAA Florida Tour Book's rate for same was $429!) Called to ask "Why the discrepancy?" Was told the rate was for a room with a view. The worst "Con" was our wonderful "view"... a full grown palm tree 10ft in front of our balcony. You could however, have a full view of your neighbors balcony. The furniture was the cheapest hotel variety, outdated and VERY sparse. The toilet was broken and we had to call maintenance. The distance from our bed to the small TV was a ridiculous 25 feet! There was an echo in the room. The walls were thin and the noise in the corridor woke us up several times. There was no mini fridge. There were only two, very small drawers (the size of my sock drawer) in which to put our clothes, so we couldn't even unpack in this HUGE, empty room. The bathroom was old and very small. Bartenders act as if they're doing YOU a favor by serving you.Hotel tried to charge us $100 for checking out two days early, but (and this is a "Pro") they rescinded the charge once we told a white lie that there was an emergency. (The emergency was that we were desperate to move on!) Maybe they will read this.
