| stuartj123's Full Review: Powertel Mobile Phone Service in Atlanta |
The sole reason I got Powertel was because of the fact that I did not have to sign a contract. Now I wish I had just gone ahead and signed on the dotted line, with a DIFFERENT carrier. First of all ,the plans are expensive. FORTY BUCKS for 400 minutes!! And here is where they really get you. If you go over your minutes, you are charged between 25 cents and 35 cents! Trust me a 40 dollar plan can quickly become a 80 dollar bill! There are so many other carriers out there who are basically giving away air time, that it just does not make sense to me to get charged like this just so that I am not held by a contract. I would rather be on a contract and paying 25 dollars a month, than not on a contract and paying 70 dollars a month! Oh, how oculd I forget. I must say one thing that impresses me about Powertel, their customer service is excellent!! They make you feel like their most important customer!
