Cheap prices, speedy delivery, quality clothes, but poor communication about order shipment.

When I was in high school, Esprit was the height of style. I had a pair of purple Esprit overalls that I thought were the bomb in 1990. Anyway, Esprit's presence seems to have faded a bit since then but I've seen their stores in malls from time to time, and have bought clothes from them as an adult too (no more purple overalls). I've always been really satisfied with the clothes and they tend to fit me nicely so I was happy to find I could shop from them on-line.
For the most part, I found their site easy to use. It was a bit confusing to find the sale items, as they seemed to be grouped under 2 different links (one was called 'Sale', on the left, and the other was a larger graphic in the centre of the screen). I found a different set of clothes under each one; I think one group was winter mega-clearance and the other was newer spring stuff that was just slightly on sale. I could see this being really confusing to someone who was doing a quick scan of the site looking for sales. However, once you click on a piece of clothing you're interested in, the site lets you view it from a number of angles, which I found really helpful (I've ordered clothes on-line before and gotten a nasty surprise to find ugly pleats, stitching, or tacky stripes on the parts they don't show you in the picture). The selection was pretty vast, even on sale clothes--I like the different length pants in every size, and how they have casual, dressy, and in-between clothes. They also have a nice range of 'basics' (black and navy pants) along with some trendier stuff.
I had no trouble placing my order either. I received my clothes about 7 days after I ordered them, so I was obviously pleased with the speed of delivery. The order was packaged neatly, and the clothes looked exactly as I expected them to, largely because the features of the site allowed me to view them in such detail. I'm really satisfied with the quality and fit also. Now, this might be because I've shopped at Esprit before and know what size fits me.
My only criticism is that I never received any confirmation that my order had shipped, or any tracking information. Luckily it wasn't a problem, but I wonder what would have happened if the order had been delayed, lost, damaged, etc. in transit. This also gives me no way of evaluating their customer service since I have only ordered from them this once, and haven't needed to speak to a person.
