When my husband and I were designing our new home back in 1998, he left he kitchen to my discretion. He figured since I spent more time in that room than he did (DUH!!), I should pick out the appliances. I can’t thank him enough for that pleasure. Yes, I’m being honest. His decision gave me the opportunity to choose the appliances that would look great plus make my life easier – not something that just “made do”.
My new kitchen is packed with the appliances that gave me the features I desired.
The REFRIGERATOR has all moveable shelves and door brackets.
The DISHWASHER has three jets and many cycles.

Then there is my COOKTOP. What a pleasure to cook on. It did take a short while to get familiar with cooking on radiant heat because it cooks so much faster than electric or gas but once I mastered it, I’d never to back to those other antiquated methods of cooking.
However, my BIGGEST problem wasn’t cooking. It was keeping the cooktop clean. The directions say not to use any harsh abrasives. Yet, mild soap won’t clean the hard food that has slipped and splashed over the sides of the pots and pans.
Luckily, I found a great product that helps keep my cooktop bright, shiny and looking like new.
The WEIMAN COOK TOP RANGE CLEANER is the perfect product to tackle such a job. This stuff is guaranteed not to scratch or mar your beautiful ceramic cooktop.
While it’s true that KitchenAid recommended one particular brand, I found it to be extremely expensive. But the WEIMAN brand is the same product manufactured by a different company and costs much less. You can get a 10oz. Plastic bottle for under $5.00 (the other brand was over $11.00 for the same size).
It’s so easy to use.
The first thing you should do is shake the bottle. This helps mixing the liquids and other cleaning chemicals for an even coating of “cream”.
The cleaner, called “cream” by the Herbert Stanley Company, almost resembles liquid chalk. It’s a fairly thick white substance that dries like car wax with the purpose of lifting the dirt and it dries. Then you just rub it off as you would car wax. It’s that simple.
As you work the dried cleaner off, not only does it pick up the grease, grime and food splatters but it leaves a shine that would make other electric stoves fade into oblivion.
My stove top measures about 19.5” x 34.5” so you know it’s not a tiny cooking area. Yet, with the WEIMAN RANGE CLEANER, one bottle will last me close to one year – and that’s with cleaning my cook top a few times each month. YOU ONLY NEED A LITTLE and a little goes a long way!
While you probably think – “Wow, this stuff sounds great”, I can tell you a bit more! Weiman Cooktop Cleaning Cream also PROTECTS your range. That’s right. Along with the cleaning ingredients, there is a “unique protective formula” that “helps keep food from sticking” so it not only makes your clean-up job easier, it also helps keep your cook top looking like new.
If you think I’m done, here, think again! According to the Weiman Website, this same cream that works wonders on your cooktop will is also an effective cleaner for your stainless steel or chrome cooktops and sinks. Since I have a stainless DOWNDRAFT, this works great for me. I don’t have to use two different cleaning agents.
Okay, so now I’m done right? Almost.
In Wal*Mart, you can get this 10oz. Bottle for only $3.49. Now, that is a bargain and one I’m sure you’ll agree is worth checking out.
After all, you DO want your cooktop to shine, right? Well, with a gentle rub, your wish is Weiman's command.
