Pros: It's crafted a little bit better.
Cons: It's short
The Bottom Line: This new joint "Fast Cars", is what "Bazooka Tooth" should have been.

Aesop Rock is one of the better lyricists. He has an innate ability to twist your mind to which he desires.
This new joint "Fast Cars", is what "Bazooka Tooth" should have been. I imagine I'm not the only person to think that.
Anyhow, this is a cool album, especially when Aesop isn't trying to produce it himself.
I'll admit, I was quite skeptical about this new joint. However, upon listening to the first song I realized that this was going to be good. Unlike "Bazooka Tooth",
"Fast Cars" is straight ahead dopeness. "Bazooka Tooth" was not what I expected. I thought it would be "Labor Days" part 2, or at least the proper evolution of Aesop Rock. "Fast Cars" seems to be if. If not, then it's pointing in the right direction. If and when he comes out with another full length album, I have no doubt it will succeed in what "Bazooka Tooth" tried to be and build on what "Labor Days" was.
The goodie in all of this is that lyric book of his. It doesn't cover ALL his lyrics, but now you can actually keep up with what he's saying. There's still the matter of understanding WHY he came up with what he came up with.
All in all, this is a cool album. It's not for everyone though.
