I purchased this sling when my son was about 3 months old. I had tried the typical front baby carriers and he hated them. I decided to try this sling first before trying the more expensive baby carriers. I am so glad I did.
First, this is easy to use. There are detailed instructions, including a customer service line (which I did not need). My son had no problem with it at all from the first time I put him in it.
Second, I can keep it in my diaper bag folded up for use at any time. I was recently on a trip with him and was out past his nap time, he was 5 months at this time. He wouldn't sleep in his stroller so I put him in the sling. He was asleep in less than 10 minutes. I could continue walking around the store while he was sound asleep.
Third, the price is very fair considering your expensive baby carriers.
Fourth, this is a comfortable sling. It did not put stress on one area and in my opinion, distributed weight evenly. It's comfortable for baby too, he didn't feel squished in it.
I wish I had this around when he was a newborn, it would have made life a lot easier!
This sling may limit some activities, especially as the child grows bigger. Because of the way it hangs, I couldn't unload the dishwasher or do laundry simply because if you lean forward the sling moves forward a little too, so I kept one hand on it. However, it was great for putting my son it and being near to him without having to hold him. I feel it is still a very personal and intimate way to be near your baby.
Overall, I would highly recommend this sling. When you use the sling a different way,it can even be used into the toddler years, as its detailed instructions show!
