Fox Creek Leather Vented Racing Jacket
I purchased a Vented Racing Jacket last year (2004) and continue to be impressed to this day. I looked high and low, bought a lesser jacket first, and finally decided to order a VRJ since the associate that helped me said that if I didnt like it.... I could send it back. Well, I LOVED IT. Instead of sending the jacket back, I worked with the Fox Creek crew over the phone to get a few alterations communicated. I was guided masterfully. The associate even told me to take my cordless phone out in the garage so I could sit on the bike to make sure the jacket wasn’t bunching up in front when in the saddle.
About 10-12 days later a beautiful, custom fit VRJ showed up and started its adventures with me. Rain, snow, hail and sun....this jacket has seen it all and looks as new today (aside from the bugs) as it did before mile one. The custom alterations make this heavy jacket seem like a part of me both on and off the bike.
I ride a Dyna Lowrider without a windshield. As a result, my VRJ and I get the full effect of the wind and weather. I have ridden in sub 32F temps and got caught in an unpredicted electrical storm followed by 50 mph wind, hail and rain. My arms and torso always stay warm and dry. In the summer, the vents work like a charm providing cooling airflow.
I'll never buy a jacket from anyone else as long as I can get my hands on a Fox Creek. Speaking of hands….. I ordered a pair Deertour Gloves last week and rode with them last night for the first time. They too are simply better than anything I have ever found in a retail establishment. The owner of a Victory dealer asked if he could see them and was as blown away by the quality as I am.
