Pros: cheap, works well with most games
Cons: outdated, not for new mega-needy software
The Bottom Line: This is a great video 3d card for the money, you can spend more, but for a basic computer system, this is all you will need.

I have an emachines 300. Yep. Crammed with a whopping 300 mHz processor, an (upgraded) 128 RAM, and an (upgraded) 12 gig HD. I needed to upgrade the ATI Rage card that came in my system to one that would at least support Diablo 2. When I found this card for a mere $99, I knew that it would work.
This sound card is a breeze to install. Although I didn't have the expansion slots available to do it and I had to take out a modem to put it in, it was still very much worth it. I went and networked to a different computer in the home, and so I really didn't need the modem like I did the Voodoo.
I was not only able to run D2 with ease, but every other game at wonderful resolution and screen dimensions. No more breaking up shots and no more fuzziness. It was a wonderful change to see from the standard, one I didn't think would matter until I saw it for my own eyes.
If you need to upgrade your until from sad to at least workable, this is the card that you need. If you want state of the art, this is DEFINITELY not for you. You need a card with way more than a 16MB capacity. Especially now that there are ones with 64 and more.
Thanks again for reading.
