Sharp R-630D

The Bottom Line This microwave is FANTASTIC. It is worth your consideration!
Clarification: This epinion is about the Sharp R-630D. I could not find it listed, but wanted to share this great product with you. I paid $119.95 for this oven. I just wanted to let people know about this GREAT Microwave!
Not all my microwaves are created equal. I did not expect to get excited about a microwave oven, but I have to say that the Sharp R-630D is a FANTASTIC appliance.
Before I tell you about everything I like about this oven, let me share my dislikes.
Dislikes: it heats my coffee water a little too hot that I like.
Okay, I am done with my dislikes:
I recommend this microwave oven because:
1. It is big!
2. Controls are easy to use and are in the door
3. great features – practically tells you how to cook
4. the manual is great
5. powerful
1. It is big: I am not sure of the dimensions, but it is a very wide. However, the amazing thing is that because the controls are etched in the door, this oven is actually less wide in overall width than its peers. I think you will find there is more than enough room for your needs! It also has a turntable.
Outside – 19 1/2 W 14 Ht 20 5/8 D
Cooking Space 17 ¾ W 8 ¼ Ht 17 D
So the difference between the inside and outside widths is only 1 ¾ inches. Use your index finger and thumb to estimate that right now. Amazing huh!
2. Controls are in the door and easy to use: Because the controls are in the door, what I described in 1 is possible. Also, the controls are so easy to use. There are special buttons for defrosting, beverages, breakfast, sensor reheating. Lunch on the run, popcorn, one dish dinners, frozen foods and even baked potatoes!
3. Great Features: When you use the program modes, the oven actually tells you how to cooks. In the programmed modes, the oven may stop and the screen will tell you to cover the edges, cover, or break up defrosted pieces. I have never been able to cook an egg very easily in a microwave oven. With the Sharp, I can do it! Bacon…Potatoes…another success story!!
In sensor reheat and other modes, the microwave oven actually determines how much time is required.
4. The manual is great: Yes I am applauding their manual. You need to keep it nearby because some of the codes are in it. I wish there was a laminated cheat sheet because I often am reading the manual when my hands are wet with food.
The manual has even taught me a rule of thumb for defrosting 4 min per 1 lb on 30%…of course this is only if the item is heavier or not listed in the code tables.
5. Powerful: The output power is 1100W. This microwave can cook!
I paid $119.95 for this plus shipping from Netmarket as a member. This was the lowest I could find. There was another model the 610, but it was only $10 or less cheaper.
I highly recommend this microwave oven if you are looking for one. It literally has expanded my cooking realm. My only warning is that you measure your counterspace before ordering it.
