As both an avid Internet shopper (I place 3-4 orders per month on average) and someone who actually works for a company with a medium-sized Internet store I think it is safe to say that I have more than a fair amount of experience (on both sides of the transaction) with Internet retailing. My experience with JLH Wholesalers was, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences I have ever had, extending to every point in the transaction. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering a purchase from this company look elsewhere.
Some of the problems with my order:
Over a week passed before they even began processing my order, or at least until they charged my credit card and began the shipping process. A delay of this length is simply unacceptable in Internet retailing...certainly without an explanation as to the cause of the delay (which naturally I did not get from them).
When they finally did process my order they only sent two of the four items I ordered, did not provide any explanation as to whether or when the other two items might be shipped.
They charged me for three of the four items (again, I only received two).
Though they only shipped half of my order they did not reduce the shipping (which was on the high side to begin with).
Emails requesting a refund for the item I never received have gone unanswered. Now that they have my money they dont reply to my emails whereas they did, sort of, reply before they charged my card.
In addition, emails to customer service requesting the status of the order, status of the unshipped items, and order cancellation went either completely unanswered or, when they actually did answer, completely ignored any question asked
they simply restated the order status information from their site, though the questions always sought information not contained on their site. So basically email communication with them is totally useless.
Their customer service phone number listed on their Web site always rings as busy. Despite numerous attempts I simply could not get anything other than a busy signal.
I now have to go through Visa to get my money back for the item they charged me for but never shipped.
