I've reared my boys, and now, I am the Grandma to a brand new infant. I know, I know, new infants do not need high chairs, yet! Still, when my friend, who owns another furniture company (we own one,too), purchased just a few, I got in on the deal. My friend, actually, purchased these, because he wanted to give them to HIS grandchildren! I am just old fashioned, I suppose, but I really wanted a very, very solid oak highchair that is easily cleaned, easy to get the child into and out of, with safety straps, of course. The one I bought for my grandson's future use is all that. It is pretty, as well. There is a lot of carving on the solid oak wood. The tray lifts up over the child's head, and doesn't need to be wrangled with to just get it on there, correctly. I just lift if up, child goes in, and it goes right where it is supposed to go. I didn't want any little seated one, either. I have plenty of room for myself in this highchair, and that is how I normally check for seat width on children's toys, as well. This highchair didn't make any noises or seem to buckle in any way, under my weight (110), and that is important to me. Some children can get pretty large while still using a high chair! Besides, the way that the oak tray just lifts up, I can use it as an extra chair! Since it will be kept at my home, that is a consideration! It doesn't fold up, it doesn't make noises, it doesn't have a tray that must be put on 'just so'. It is just one heavy duty, solid oak highchair that will last through many grandchildren. I like that a lot! I wanted safety, beauty, and ease of use. I got it!  |
