Great Truck on and Off Road - Especially off!

by hankharry: Written: Apr 14 '05

Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Powerful Motor, nimble handling, nice interior both looks and comfort.
Cons: towing is limited to 6500 or less, himi not available
The Bottom Line: Great Car goes anywhere does anything and is better off road than most any other car.

This car as been great to me! I have an 04 Special Edition which came with features I wasn’t even looking for when I started shopping but have become my new basis for comparison. 10 disk changer, steering wheel stereo controls and sunroof are just some of the bonus I found. I do a lot of off highway activities so I needed something that had some serious off road capabilities. I have owned and driven a few jeep wranglers so I knew how well they do off road but I needed something bigger! And not to sound to soft, nicer as well. This has been perfect the V8 4.7 liter is peppy to say the least for an SUV it moves pretty good and its small enough on the outside I can move it around easily through tights spots ( parking lots or mountain trails ) I am a big guy but have no problem sitting for long drives ( have done many coast drives and off road trips that took hours of driving ). I have now modified the truck with a bit of a lift and it handles even better with the larger tires and stiffer ride ( there was nothing to complain about before ).

I go through cars quickly usually no more than 1 or 2 years each but this is the first one that I intended to keep.
