hi there, a mmc card is a card which has some storage on it so you can plug it in and have extra storage....

it has kind of the same functionality as the "sony memory stick" all though you probably cant use it in as many different products. you may have seen the adds for the memory stick

basically its a little card which you plug into your rome and it doubles the amount of music / storage your rome has ..

if you need any more clarifaction let me know

Nice Review! (Reply to this comment)

I've been interested in this product for a while now, but have been waiting for the 64mb model to be released. It's appealing because one can gain the benefits of MP3 technology in the car without having to upgrade one's car stereo.

One confusing aspect, however, that I hope Jarad (jazzo) or anyone else can clear up is: what is a "multi-media card?" The product specs state that the unit's memory can be expanded with these MM cards. I've looked around on the net to see who's selling these and how much they cost, but the closest products I can find are "smart media cards," which are usually associated with digital cameras. Are these technologies the same thing, or are MM cards different from SM cards? Thanks for any clarification.
