BACKGROUD
I have been a customer of Proflowers for a little more than a year. I heard about them from a local morning radio station, Star 98.7 ~ the Jamie & Danny Show. Danny, (Bonaduce) does commercials for Proflowers and their name popped up when I needed to order some flowers fast as I arrived to work one day. Their slogan is “freshest flowers direct from the grower™. Thanks to Bonniesayers and her review for helping me remember that.
My first order was spectacular, 1 Dz. Long stem Red Roses for about $35.99. With 8.25% sales tax and second day Fed Ex delivery for $7.95, (which is their standard), it totaled just under $45. For an extra $2 you can get delivery Sat. or next day. My wife received them in beautiful fashion 2 days later. Boxed with a free vase, (thanks to Danny's name on the microphone ~ upper right) they were the freshest flowers I’ve ever smelt. I was more than pleased with my purchase. Then, as the flowers matured ~ they blossomed so large and thick I really got impressed! Since then I have placed about 5 orders, 4 of which were perfect with only one somewhat sub-par. I have referred them to about 3 people who also loved their results.
DETAILS
The only “sub-par” delivery was an assortment of long stem roses. The picture on their website showed what appeared to be red, yellow and a pink/white combination rose, (4 EA.) What my wife got was yellow, pink and a red/white combination. The yellow roses turned out great but the other two barely opened and died much sooner. They lasted maybe 4 days while the other batches were good for almost 2 weeks. These flowers had no water bulbs at their tips. They also were wrapped in wet foam instead of the usual plastic. I e-mailed my disappointment and they allowed me another order of equal value for free. I only had 60 days to use it up but I just made the cutoff. It was another big hit ~ (although I never got to see them ~ they got great reviews).
WEBSITE/SELECTIONS
Proflowers.com has a very user friendly website. Their Online Catalog is listed clearly on the left. Towards the bottom of the page you can choose by Category, Occasion or Flower & Gift Type. Specials are clearly marked and easy to find.
They have a very extensive collection of items. Besides flowers, they also sell plants, gift baskets, fruits and chocolates. They even carry Uptown Premium Steaks. Haven't tried them and probably won't though.
CONCLUSIONS
This is really a great place for a quality product. In over 20 years of buying flowers I haven’t seen anything close to the quality and value you get here. Even with that one mediocre order, I have to highly recommend PROFLOWERS for all your flower needs.
