Lessons in a Bottle: Hiring Fast Vs. Hiring Bright

The Bottom Line Mud is thicker than water. Remember that. Don't choose any Indian nickels in hiring situations following these straightforward guidelines.

There are certain unwritten rules when vascillating in the mode of professional conduct. Among these, a key factor is prime recruitment. Faces and names on the printed page become manifest within substantiated evidence in person, and the first impression counts for a great deal. Having said that, what are the factors any candidate must take upon themselves before donning that freshly pressed suit and multicolored ties, once more scrambling out upon the field of valor in search of a thrice noble profession?

The answer is not an easy one, and business managers need to pool their time and resources to achieve consensus. How can we truly tell if one has hired right or, on the flip side of that coin, hired fast? Shoes are not easy to fill, particularly when those lofty shoes were filled by very wise and substantial persons whose quality cannot be measured in even tablespoons? Managers must stop and assess these things before biting into the apple, lest they chomp into a zesy maggot squirming toward the core.

The progressive application set forth in dogmatic guidebooks across the globe is Stop - Look - Listen. Stop yourself from taking the shoe off of the wrong foot. Look at the signs before they vaporize. Listen to the horns in the distance, for they shall guide you the way to freedom.

Valleys from the gardens of the shadow of evil protect those of consequence, and the desks shall be bastians to a brave new world in currency and tranquility. There is a fortress of paper in every drawer, made magnificent by the splendor of crafty cognizence. Only these, and being thrifty, clean, and honest -- will enable us to look beyond the red print and into the black. It's a bull market out there, friends, and we don't want to be caught with our pants down. Or do we? Ask yourself what you really want, then kneel at the altar. Hope springs eternal.
