Cons: Limitations on RAM.

This ATX motherboard is based upon Intel's 815E chipset. It has very high ratings & has received excellent reviews in several magazines & websites. It even won several awards for the most stable motherboard in 815E class all over the world. With a less faulty motherboard, one would get less crashes. This motherboard supports latest Pentium III & Celeron processors.
Let's talk about its features. Here's the following :
a) ATA 100 Support so you can use the latest 7200rpm hard drive & get more speed out of the hard drive while accessing data. It also support older ATA 66 & ATA 33.
b) AGP 4X Slot Support so you can use the latest graphics card for best performance & speed. You can also use an older AGP 2X graphics card if you do not want to buy one yet. The 4MB onboard video isn't for extreme gaming or excessive multimedia usage. It is intended for basic word processing usage only. Buy the Asus CUSL2-C instead virtually the same as CUSL2 but without onboard video if you are planning to get a graphics card by itself. It would save you about US $20 if you choose the later version.
c) 4 USB Ports Support so it allows you to hook up several peripherals at a time. Most motherboards only provide you with only 2 USB ports. So you do not need to buy extra UBS port headers if you ever need them. This is a US$20 value.
d) 2 CNR (Communication & Networking Riser) Slot Support allows you to use the latest & most advanced modem or network card. You might not need this feature now but two years down the road, you will be glad that you have this slot if you ever need to upgrade your communication devices.
e) PC133 FSB (Front Side Bus) Support but limits you to only 512 MB. It has only 3 available memory slots that support up to 512 MB SD RAM. This motherboard would definitely get even better ratings & reviews if it could support 2GB of memory. But regardlessly, 512MB is still more than sufficient to run very complex softwares.
f) 6 PCI expansion Slots Support. More than enough to for an average user. Use it to add a quality sound card & a PCI modem.
g) Has Wake-Up Support, JumperFree Mode, Around-the-Clock Intrusion Detection, PC Health Monitoring, Smart BIOS, One Touch Management, LCD/TV Output, SMBus (System Management Bus), ACPI (Advanced Configuration Power Interface) Ready, Suspend And Go, Fan Status Monitoring & Alarm, Temperature Monitoring & Alert, Voltage Monitoring & Alert, System Resources Alert, Remote Ring On, Message LED, Perpherial Power Up, & PC-Cillin (Anti-Virus) Software.
