I went a year ago on a college spring break trip. I went to Freeport and Nassau. The best way to get down there is by boat on a cruise. Its a good place to go and spend a few hours. These places are filled with local shop owners selling trinkets of stuff. Although, bombarded with a lot of junk, some of the things are really neat as keepsakes. A good thing about visiting down there are the prices. Prices are negotiable. Since the bahamas is colonized by the British, there are plentiful duty free shops around the place. Also, Watch out for dealers on the beaches of Freeport. All in all, this is a good place and i'm sure you'll have a good time!  |
