The Bottom Line I feel they make safe products and are good about notifying consumers quickly of any recalls.
I want everyone, THE WHOLE WORLD--to know that Cosco's "Regal Ride" car seat did it's job: we were in a car accident and baby came out without a single scratch, bruise or bump! I'm writing about the Regal Ride in this section because Epinions doesn't have this particular Cosco seat listed along with the other Cosco car seats, yet I think people should know about this product. I purchased the Cosco "Regal Ride" on Tuesday, July 3rd at the local Target store for $49.00. It's simular in design to the Cosco Touriva Overhead Shield. In fact, except for fabric, it looks just like this seat. I chose this particular seat, not because it was the second-to-least expensive, but because it had the soft cushiony shield in addition to the harness, as some of the more expensive ones DID NOT! (I was kinda surprised) Features: **rear-facing for infants up to 35lbs. **forward facing for toddlers 22-40lbs. (Jae is 26lbs.) **padded shield & 3-point harness **easy harness adjustment (Uhm, so they say. Thankfully I took the time to figure out just how to adjust the harness properly and it wasn't TOO difficult.) **one hand front release bush-button buckle **three harness positions for growing toddlers (I thank goodness I took the time to adjust this properly, also!) It's very important to adjust all the straps/harness' parts properly to fit your child. Also included is a little plastic baggie with an additional strap that says it should be installed by an expert. My husband is a service tech who's pretty handy at figuring this kind of thing out. He spent over an hour fitting this strap properly to the seat. One day after purchasing this car seat on Jae's second time going for a ride we were in an accident. She was securely buckled and harnessed into her new seat and came through without any injuries what-so-ever. (Signifigant damage to car, everyone was fine though!) This seat kept her in place and safe and I would reccommend it to everyone! This is Jaelyn's second Cosco Car Seat. I feel they make safe products, but would also like you to know that they put a product recall card in with their seats and it's important to fill that out and send it in upon purchase. That way Cosco can notify you personally of any recalls of their products.  |
