Cheap, but has its problems
Written: Apr 16 '01
Pros:relatively cheap, compact, easy to use
Cons:music skips a lot, other small problems.
The Bottom Line: It has some small problems with it, but the price was pretty good.
When I saw the iRock mp3 player at Best Buy for $40(After rebate), I decided to get it because it was an great price for an mp3 player. The second cheapest price was around $100. The biggest advantage to the iRock is the price. Other good things are its small, compact size and it's easy to use. There are a lot of small problems with it, though. It skips a lot. When I listen, the music may pause for a second. It also has some errors while downloading. The most frequent error("Error 14, NEED ARRANGE", or something like that), will happen during the download of a song to the mp3 player and will stop the download and will make me have to clear out the music in the mp3 player, or the error will usually pop up when I try to download another song. Also, my lcd screen is fading out a little. And the memory is not removable like it is on most mp3 players. The memory isn't very large; it holds usually 8 songs. And it eats up batteries very fast, and I now use rechargeable batteries for it, because it only lasts a few hours.
