Talking and stuff (Reply to this comment)
by divad23
Morissette admitted in her first breath that she was encouraged to speak a lot between songs but that it is something she rarely does. Its hard not to agree with her next sentiment"I Feel like Im speaking so much in my songs themselves."
If only more artists would realize this about themselves, so many more of the concerts I attend would be worth the cash I shelled out for them.

Glad you like Storytellers...I've also gotten the Natalie Merchant DVD but have yet to check it out. It's exciting stuff!

I liked the Sarah McLachlan Storytellers DVD quite a bit so this one would probably be a good one as well. I saw Alanis a while back but it was a really bad venue (bad lighting, bad sound) so I really didn't get a fair take on her performance.

I think this sort of venue would be so much better for her than a huge concert. I saw her last summer when she toured with BNL. Partly because of the venue, and partly compared to the vibrant personalities of the Barenaked Ladies' members, she just seemed boring and blah... and I like Alanis.
