This is my first gateway and I enjoy it a lot.
Most noticable feature is silvery shell and bright screen.
The screen is sharp and so bright, easily adjustable light/dim feature.
Celeron 550mhz processor is quite fast and even comparable to pentium II in performance.
Keyboard has a good layout and bouncing keys. Touchpad is also very sensitive. It's single multi-bay port can be used for second hard drive, DVD-rom, CD-RW, Zip, floppy, Ls-120 drive and cd-rom.
Battery life is long enough and system is quite stable.
Modem is lucent winmodem and works well too.
Plastic shell is nice black but seems a little cheap in quality.
There is no significant drawback.
