Pros: Good Suction, excellent design. Performs very well.
Cons: Price
The Bottom Line: I am very happy with it, even my dog loves it, I use the round brush and vacuum my dog, although I am sure this is not highly recommended.

I waited 7 months before writing a review on my Dyson DC07. I wanted to see if this vacuum would survive this long, I have a German Shepherd dog, Traditional Balinese cat and an Alley Cat, plus two teenagers in the house.
When my husband saw the commercial for this vacuum, he told to me that the Dyson should be our next vacuum. I first checked the models at Linens and Things, I was worried about the very cheap plastic look of this vacuum, I thought, how can they justify the cost of this vacuum with this much plastic?
When we moved to our new house, I was off to Costco to buy my Dyson, of course this was after Ive done my little research on this vacuum, after all, this baby is not cheap.
Out of the box, it was very easy to assemble, though I didnt do the assembly myself as my husband put the whole thing together in two minutes. The vacuum came with the animal turbo tool, bare floor tool and an extra filter.
Just like everybody else, I vacuumed the carpet with my old Sharp vacuum first, then I vacuumed again using the Dyson, first thing I noticed was that this vacuum sucked a lot of dust from the carpet, all that my old Sharp did was suck all the pet hair that I could see. No wonder it was always dusty in my old house! This vacuum is not as loud as my old one either, which is good because I like listening to music while cleaning the house.
I like the edge cleaning whiskers on this vacuum; I hardly ever use the crevice tool because this vacuum nicely cleans the edge of the carpet. When vacuuming bare floors, all that I have to do is flip a switch to bare floor and off you go, although it sucks the dirt off the floor okay, it needs the bare floor attachment to properly clean, especially in the kitchen and bathroom.
The animal turbo tool is a god sent for me; it is small enough that it can get into confined spaces like my car, it also cleans my area rugs very nicely. I was a little annoyed with the vacuums cord because it is not retractable, my old vacuums cord was full of electric tape from me running the over it. I was worried that this vacuums cord would end up the same way, but with its automatic height adjustment, I have yet to run over the cord.
The reversible wand, in my mind, is a very smart design, although my husband disagrees, he doesnt vacuum either. Remove the handle assembly then remove the hose from it. Reverse the handle and attach the hose to the other end, now you have an extension and you can fit the accessories on to easily clean hard to reach areas.
7 months later, my worries about this vacuums plastic look and feel are gone, the vacuum is made from ABS and polycarbonate, the same materials used to manufacture crash helmets. My vacuum has some scratches on the lower part of the body but nothing to be worried about.
Cleaning the vacuum is easy, pull a lever and release the container, place the dirt container over the trash can and pull the trigger to empty it. I have only washed the filter once in the 7 months Ive owned this vacuum.
