I bought this JBL speaker about 3 years ago, and it has yet to fail me. It's great quality and craftsmanship make this a awesome sounding speaker for the money. I paid only $99.99 at Costco for my JBL. It's 10 inch sub gives all the bass you need, with great sounding mid range and tweeters to back it up.
Compared to other brands of speakers it out does them all in the same price range. I have owned KLH and Technics speakers before, and with in 2 weeks they were already starting to fall apart. For example, the Technics speakers started rattling around the 15 inch subs. I had to take the sub out and silicone around it to stop the rattling, and those speakers cost $260. My KLH had the same kind of problems, except the rattling came from the speaker grills, covering the midrange speakers and the tweeter. I have never had to do any thing to my JBL besides show it off to any one who entered my room. The JBL speaker housing is the best I have ever seen, carpeted in the inside for video-shielding and even the mids and tweeters are protected by shields from the pressure of sub while in use.
