People always talk about the hospitality of many of these countries when traveling. But it still surprises me when I hear tangible evidence such as the manager giving you the mug.

Not really, this could be considered local customs. Besides there is no specific catagory for the Hotel Chellah, and I already used up my "spot" in the Rabat section reviewing the Hotel.
