Back in the Snes days there were many rpgs to choose from. You had the Final Fantasy series, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, etc. So, who would have thought, Mario in an rpg? Well, that's what your going to get. This is Mario's first rpg, and I must say it doesn't dissapoint. Let me get to my very first review!

Graphics: 10/10

Now, you must remember this is a game for an old system. However, the graphics were very colorful and you could see everything very clearly. The graphics were kinda done in a 3-d way, so you know it was good. Some of the best graphics on the Snes, even better than the Donkey Kong series.

Gameplay: 9/10

You should already know what to expect in this catergory. The gameplay is your average rpg thing, you go around collecting items, leveling up, etc. One thing that stands out is the battle system. It is very well done, and very original.

Sound: 10/10

The sound in this game is great, but its the music that makes this game an instant classic! The music fits the environment your in, so it never gets repetitive or dull.

Replayability: 5/10

This is something you should expect from an rpg. However, there is many items and stuff to collect your second go around, because I doubt you'll find everything your first time.


Basically, if you like rpgs then you should really try this one out. Even if you playing your Playstation 2 or whatever it is, be sure to pick this up, cause its a classic. The only thing I have to complain about is its lifespan. It is a little bit on the short side, but its long enough to enjoy.
