I just read an epinion about "What not to do pertaining to an epinion," I learned a few things, and I was really appalled by some of the things that can and are being done. I would have never thought to copy and paste from another epinion. I have seen some epinions that I thought were written by a third grader. I rated these epinions as Not Helpful, but I still feel now that I did nothing to help the persons writing style or even Epinions.com as a whole. As a fellow epinionator, when rating a review, one should follow up with the rating with a comment. If a review is good some of us will go ahead and say, "What a Great Job",but if the epinion isn't written well we just slap a Not Helpful on it and go to the next epinion. One knows that this is very inefficient to the Epinion's Community in helping our newer members and our less accomplished writers. I am not an expert writer, but I did just go through a "Developemental Writing class" at Texarkana Community college. The course helped me in my writing. Some of our Great writers in the community have helped me with comments and with e-mail. Do we really need people who rate epinions as Not helpful on the criteria that they are not long enough? NO! We need people that if they are going to rate an epinion then they should have the conscience to the integrity of the whole community to help those of us who are in need of those helpful hints. One should not be rude or mean in their critism, but the helping hands of all are needed. Thanks for your time, MFalls5511 AKA Dee  |
