Bought a '04 GC when the '05s came out, so got a great deal on a loaded minivan with all the whistles, except heated leather. (for some reason, they didn't put it with the anniversary package)
Ride, ride is nice and comfortable,
Performance, it's a minivan, but it will merge easily enough when pushed hard
Economy, it was getting over 18 around town, so that's not too bad for a big rig
I have only one complaint, the battery easily drains, a few minutes with the fog lights, and away it goes, the dealer says it's within specs and won't replace it, but it has gone flat on me three times, once was the lights, the others, I can't explain. my wife usually is taking it on short trips, but I've never had a car drain like this.
I've owned it one year, and have no issues other than the one mentioned above, We've taken it on trips and it has performed flawlessly. We have the power doors and hatch, and we wonder how we ever lived without them :-)
I am concerned about transmission longevity, so I put another additional cooler on the van. Heat is their enemy #1, so hopefully it won't be an issue for me.
I briefly considered an 05 for the stow and go, but wouldn't have gotten all the bells and whistles, so I've counted the times I've wished I could have stashed the seats into the floor, and for me it's only been twice. (I don't drive all the time though, my wife does)
plenty of space,we've never been lacking for space.
It is a Chrysler minivan, so I did pay for an extended warranty through my insurance company. It was a small price to pay for the security of knowing it will be fixed for $250.
What would be nicer?? well if it had the memory heated seats like the Chrysler T&C then I would have everything I wanted. But for what I paid, I'm satisfied.
