I found Lakeside Collection while searching for a specific toy (a kids cleaning caddy) for Christmas this year. They had the best price and I found a few other items I that would work for gifts.
Lakeside has a great selection of gifts for everyone. You won't have trouble finding gifts. They also have a lot of 'as seen on tv' items and novelty like items. You can also find apparel, books, electronics, home items, hardware and more. Most seem to be of decent quality and are priced competitively. The website is very well laid out and it easy to find your way around.
Ordering was very easy. You can calculate your shipping before making your purchase and it is decently priced. It would be nice if they had free shipping after spending a certain amount but it starts at $7 and goes up to about $12.
I read a few reviews about Lakeside as I was planning my order and the only downfall I read was that a lot of items get backordered or are no longer available after you make an order. Well, I got to experience that! Out of the 4 items I ordered, only one came within a decent amount of time. One was permanently out of stock and they said they couldn't fulfill that part of my order. The other two items were backordered and they couldn't or wouldn't give me a time frame of when they would be available. Luckily I did get the item I needed for a Christmas gift. The others came shortly after. I had to find the other item on Ebay that was permanently out of stock.
It was very hard to get them to email me back. Every email response came at least 2 or 3 days after I emailed them. And to check your order you have to call a number and go through a process of selecting options and then entering in each item number, not order number, one by one. And the system would hang up on my after I checked any single item. So to check on four items could easily take half an hour. Talk about a pain.
If you are very flexible and just want to get the best price, I recommend Lakeside. They do offer a lot of low priced items. But it is not worth it if you are buying something as a gift and need it within 2 or 3 weeks. You'll have a hard time figuring out if it has shipped and an even harder time getting them to answer your questions.
