I took another look. You are right. Some do limit for predispositions. Some however only limit pre-existing conditions. I made a bad assumption.

...interesting and informative. There is one point about pet insurance, however, that my experiences lead me to dispute. Most policies (I have had 2, and looked into others) will not cover health problems caused by genetic predispositions. Dobermans (my dogs) are prone to joint and heart problems, and when I had dogs encounter these problems, I was told the policies specifically excluded these problems as "pre-existing conditions'. I would be very careful purchasing one of these policies specifically because a pet may have a genetic problem, as many policies just won't cover them.
