Choose understated colors . The darker ones will usually make your eyes too dark .

You did an excellent job of describing how to put on eyeshadow all in words! Excellent job. I don't often wear makeup...and if I do, I generally skip eyeshadow simply because I have that "Asian" eyelid and I wear glasses. But I printed a copy of your review to keep with my makeup should I decide to wear some! Thanks!

Thanks for leaving such a great comment . I am really fair skinned too . Dark colors make me look like my eyes have been blacked lol . It is hard to write a review such as this one and target all people and give useful advice to all . I am glad some of it is helping though . - sweetycaroline

very, very thorough, and I am very, very impressed. I haven't worn much makeup since my kids were born, mostly because they don't seem to care, but I do like to wear some when I am going out. (Yes, it does happen...occasionally....) I may try your tips to see if I can play up my eyes a little next time! Thanks!~~

I meant to say achieved rather than received. I tried to delete and rewrite my comment but am having problems doing so.

I thought that you covered procedure very well. Applying eyeshadow should be easier for those who need tips when they read this.

I tend to use darker colors on my eyes to play them up. My methods differ some from yours. I have very light skin. I am able to wear the darker shades because I blend my makeup well and add a little bit of darker shadow at a time to the creases of my eyes until I have recieved right look for me.

I also tend to think that wearing a darker shade on the lips can really bring the face out on a lighter skinned person. For me neutrals are fine, but if they are to light I tend to look very pale and people think I am not feeling well...lol.

Anyways, I thought your review was good and am looking forward to reading more of your reviews.

on several things here ( mauve shades look very nice on some people it just depends on your coloring and how you put eye shadow on is different depending on eye size, depth, etc.) this is very useful information.
