After doing hours of research I was confident that the Digital Mega Store would be a positive experience. We ordered a Panasonic Video Pro camera on Memorial Day, May 30. The camera was listed as IN STOCK and my confirmation email said my order would be shipped in 48 hours. The next day, Tuesday May 31, Randy called trying to sell us another accessory and stated he was processing the order to ship and confirmed I had paid for the 3-day delivery. When the camera had not arrived by Friday I called customer service. Jenny was very nice but told me the cameras were sold out but they expected them on Monday June 6 and to please call back -- she was sure they would be in on Monday and my order would be upgraded to overnight delivery at no extra charge. It is now Monday afternoon and still no cameras. I am typing this while I keep redialing in an attempt to contact Jenny so I can cancel the order.
This camera was for my daughter, a college student majoring in film. She needed it for the documentary she is filming in Florida beginning June 8. (Long story on why she is not using the university's equipment but it was imperative to get this camera ASAP) If we had been told when Randy called that there were no cameras, we would have ordered from another merchant but once again, honesty and customer service seem to be a thing of the past. I'm trying to talk to a supervisor to express my frustration but that person is not available and is not as of yet returning calls. I'm frantically trying to find a camera so the show can go on but it is not looking good. What a mess.
