Yeah, unfortunately that is not the case with this particular model. But thanks for checking in anyway - I do tend to gloss over the obvious at times!

Just one thing about not being able to search. If you have checked this on your own, forgive me for stating the obvious. But if I remember correctly, on some Aiwa products if you hit the track skip button BUT hold it without letting go, it will act like a track search.

Hitting the button quickly and letting go causes it to skip an entire track. If you have not done so yet, check it out.

We bought my daughter an Aiwa CD player for Christmas, based on a fairly comprehensive search of consumer ratings. I have no clue what model it was (I can never remember such minutiae), but it's hell for stout. A good darn thing.
