Pros: Easy to hold, screens are easy to read. Easy controls, quick loadup.
Cons: Canadian maps aren't too accurate. Orange backlight, No external power or Data
The Bottom Line: Getting into GPS? If you want a unit that is not complicated, with no frills, this will work well.

I bought this GPS since that is what I could afford. I would have preferred the Garmin Legend. This one lacks the ability to plug into any external power so you have to run it off batteries. It also does not have computer hookup so you have to live with the maps it has and cannot add anything to it.
However, if you can live with that, it works really well. It doesn't take very long to hook up to satellite and your ready to rip. The screens are easy to read. It has a GPS based compass, not an electronic one like the 400. It fits nicely into your hand and you can buy a car and a bike mount for it, both of those are well designed.
I don't like the orange colored backlight, I would rather have white, but I'm using it for Geocaching so thats okay. I'll probably use it for a year and see if I get used to it. I probably will. If not I'll put it on Ebay.
If you're just starting with a GPS or just want to use it and don't need to load up external maps for lakes or cities, it should do what you need.
