Used to be great, but not anymore...

Pros:Can't feel them at all, no odor, sometimes can wear up to 12 hours
Cons:Leaks (and big ones, too!), not for the squeamish - wear gloves!!!
The Bottom Line: Give it a try, but have a back up pad on just in case. As long as it doesn't leak, it's a fantastic product. But if it does, look out!
I've been using Instead cups for, gosh, almost 10 years now, and up until a year or two ago they were absolute miracles. For the first 8 years or so, the Instead cups were made of a thick soft rubbery material, which ensured up to 12 hours of leak-free bliss, but then they changed the material to a thinner, almost plastic bag feeling material around a harder plastic ring. And now, much to my despair, they LEAK constantly. Oh, sure, they'll hold for a few hours, but then all it takes is a sneeze or even just walking for 'em to let out a small deluge, which has led to some embarrassing situations, I can assure you. Like an idiot, I keep buying them, because I hate tampons and pads, but it's a roll of the dice each time I wear one. Just tonight I had yet another spill, so now I'm researching the reusable cups like the Keeper and Diva Cup - I'm hoping they'll have a better seal.
Oh, and just for reference, I've never had children, so it's not that I've now 'out-grown' the Instead cups or anything, and they leak even within the first hour, so it's not that I'm wearing them too long, either. I truly believe it is the change of material from the soft rubber to the more slippery hard plastic that's caused the problem. If I could get a petition going for them to change them back, I would!
