Has anyone besides me noticed there is a serious shortage on epinions concerning hair products? I would love to read reviews by people who have tried different hair products, but this is the closest category I could find. I just found a wonderful shampoo for people who swim, but there is no where to write about it. At any rate Loreal is a huge company who makes or distributes hair care products, eye makeup, nail polishes and more. Some of there companies include Maybelline, Lancome, Ralph Lauren, Bio Therm, Redken, and Vichy just to name a few. They have a skin care line called Loreal Paris Plentitude. Their hair care products include Studio Lines, Studio FX, Toss, and a complete line of kids hair products. I have used their hair coloring products a few times and have liked them. But in this review I would like to talk about their Vive line of shampoos. I was born with naturally curly hair and the older I get the curlier it gets. I have searched far and wide for a shampoo and conditioner that actually does what it says it's going to do. I have tried cheap ones, expensive salon one's and drug store brands and never found anything I liked. Having curly hair means fighting the frizz and I have never found anything that controlled it, until I tried Curl Vive by Loreal. This is a new line of hair care for them and I love it. It is made for people with naturally curly hair, not perms. A few years ago they had come out with Color Vive for colored hair and I had tried that and really liked it, so when I saw this in the store I tried it. On the bottle it states "95% frizz reduction" and I'm thinking, "yeah, sure". Well guess what, the shampoo and conditioner have lived up to their name. I have been using this shampoo for over a month now and it is still working. Today for example it is 90 degrees outside with high humidity and normally my hair looks awful, but my curls have retained their spring and shine. On the back of the bottles it states "Formualted with Hydra-Proteins and Shine Enhancers, gently cleanses and moisturizes without weighing down curls." That was always a problem I have had in the past was heavy conditioners, but this conditioner is very lightweight and my curls retain their natural shape. They have hair care for curly coarse hair and fine, limp curly hair. After I shampoo and condition I also tried their Curl Shaping Spray Gel and this also works very well. You can either blow dry your hair with a diffuser for softer looking curls, or let it air dry for a crunchy wet look, which I prefer. It's very light weight and is also a humidity controller. The products all have a pleasant, but not too strong of a smell, but what it is I am not sure. I paid $3.29 for each bottle, which I consider a bargain having used curly hair products that have cost $10 or more dollars, in my quest for none frizzy hair. So for those of you with the natural curls this is the product for you. Believe me I have tried more products than I could count and was always very disappointed.
