Pros: Extremely good low light sensitivity, many alarm options
Cons: Too long to list, but worse is the lack of support
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't recommend this camera, because of the numerous problems that Toshiba doesn't seem to be addressing (last firmware update over a year ago).

I have had the unit for a week now (Jun,05) and have experienced most of the problems that previous reviewers have reported.
I've tried 2 SD memories, neither will work (128mb and 512mb). They won't format (the manual doesn't say what format they use--thanks Toshiba). I tried to format on a computer. The camera didn't like that either. The manual says to use Toshiba memory (one was, although both had "slow" transfer specs). I'm going to buy a high performance SD memory. Maybe that's the problem. You can't really tell because the manual uses marketing terms to describe their memory requirements.
I could not get the email function to work with Earthlink's mail server. Whether this is a Toshiba or Earthlink problem is unclear. I sit behind a router which may be the issue (I've tried numerous settings--none worked) My next step is to set up a local mail server, which be able to accept and forward email from the camera to my "real" email account.
They have two manuals, Basic Users and an Advanced users. The Basic ships with unit, but the Advanced you must download. The advanced goes a bit beyond the Basic, which makes me wonder, why don't they just ship the Advanced manual and do away with the Basic? Everybody will need it, geesh.
Their support site looks like it was set up once and hasn't since been updated, i.e., no knowledgebase articles, no faq, etc. I submitted a "trouble ticket" on their web site 3 days ago and no reply as of yet, Somehow, I kinda expected this.
The last firmware update was about a year ago, so I doubt if they are putting any energy into fixing anymore problems. Based on this fact, with no hope of ever seeing some badly needed fixes, I would not recommend this camera. It was put into the marketplace prematurely, and is not being supported. Shame on you Toshiba.
I wouldn't have put this much time into trying to get it to run properly if it wasn't for the great picture along with numerous alarm options. Now, if I could only get this thing to work.
