Absolutely horrible - every time

Beware of the 'good deals' that look so appealing when one thinks only about the price, I'm talking about big items.
My in-store experiences were invariably the worst compared to any of the other big stores. Every time I needed assistance with stuff on top shelves (that I bought in the end) it was nearly impossible to find someone interested.
The remarkable thing was I wasn't the only one in this situation. Everybody waiting, and there were a lot, had a resigned look on their faces. They were simply not interested to sell and the store manager was just the same. I watched for this at different locations and indeed it may vary.
So I figured I'd just buy online if I absolutely need to buy from them. You can return the stuff to the nearest store, right? Wrong. You might not even get what you order.
Here's what happened:
I order some speakers (good deal) that were available only online and it turns out they are backordered.
Fine, they'll ship in 25 days. After 20 days, during which the price went up and down and they were still taking orders for this item which they new was not available, I tried to phone them.
First pass: main menu -> order number -> found ... redirected to main menu ?
Second pass: main menu -> order number -> found -> will redirect to assistance ... We are experiencing technical difficulties then hang up ?!
A couple of days pass by and I get an email saying they'll cancel the order if I don't contact them by phone no more no less!
Repeat three more times w exactly the same result as above. Clearly there's a black hole where they just dump everything related to this order.
I go to the website and send them a note saying that I don't want them to cancel the order yet (as per their instructions, right?)
I got no feedback that something was sent and no reply until today when I get an email saying that my order was cancelled.
Funnily enough, I kept going just to see how the #$%@$s will handle it.
In fact I realized early enough what's going on so I ordered the same item from another online store
(that I won't mention here but it will get an excellent review) and I got it in no less than 3(three) days although I placed the order during the weekend (sat or sun). Btw the price was almost the same as the initial deal when the shipping price was factored in.
BestBuy is even less than a warehouse, where at least you get the stuff you want without hassles.
The stories about 'customer service' and its total absence are really moot point by now.
In all my dealings with online merchants ever this was by far the worst. That was mainly because I read about them on epinions and other sites before I actually placed any order.
Now also consider that this is a VERY subdued description of one of the almost tolerable cases...
I try not to buy anything from them if I can help it; it's been almost two years now since I started to do it, but I fell for the price a few times (impulse buys) including the above.
